My blogfriend and FB friend, Shail Mohan of Trivandrum, posted this wonderful capture of just born tender neem leaves, possibly from her garden , with their wondrous copper glow, and just like us humans , yet to be firmed up spines.
However, unlike us humans, these trees do something else that is sensible.

So many
fresh,
pink
and raw;
some younger than the others,
all sticking to the mater
a bit tired
and bent in fatigue
from the natural delivery
amidst
observant older
greener ladies.
Each new arrival
clutching on
with the
smallest umbilical cord
but biggest attachment,
and no one even
bothers to ask
whether
they are girls
or boys….
