My blogger and FB friend Slogan Murugan, has a wonderful photoblog about a Mumbai we take for granted but never "see"; "Mumbai Paused : Photographs and stories from the city that's always on the move"
This is something he has captured in South Mumbai, on the road which earlier housed the Strand Theatre, before the Mall-ification happened.
Fancy new facades showing how small the big is :-))

Some
feel big
simply by being
great within and by themselves.
Some feel big,
only when
they succeed in making
others in front of them
look small....

Sad but true :(
ReplyDeleteWhen I posted the image, I was wondering what to write and couldn't think of the right words to add to the image. But you did! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSlogan Murugan, I always await your new posts. The images simply speak !
DeleteVery true!! But those who look good by making others look small, sooner or later find someone else who wants to look bigger by making them look smaller.

ReplyDeleteUSP, You are spot on ! See it all the time....
DeleteThe picture is amazing but before I write I have to think twice because your poem was contradicting the picture.Personally,I feel both the building has once demolished one that was before them - a hut ,a mud house or whatever
