Bozoical EKS.....

One more poetic chapter in the Life and Times of Bozo, Mumbai's only dog-with-his-own-blog.

Life in a Metro teaches you to be philosophical. At least that's what Bozo thinks.  You have to accept what happens.

But even then, sometimes it shows on your face. And what is worse, folks like Magiceye, photograph it, despite being the cause of it all.

But we fellows don't hide our feelings. After all, we are only human .....

We fellows
are stoic chaps,
and whatever it is
we take it in our stride .

Yes,
it is happening
all over again.

A time when
I couldn't
turn a room corner
without colliding with
the young chap
in a hurry,
and a time when
a peek into the young lady's room
saw her getting ready
for exciting times.

There was a brief
summer of joy
when I realized that
Deepak would now be home
much more.

But no.
It is not to be
and I am upset,
yet philosophical....

I am back
to gazing from the balcony,
paws up on the railing,
a silent wail here,
a brave snort there....

What to do ?

We fellows must endure
the Empty Kennel Syndrome
in our old age.........

Crunch opinions

My blogfriend Shail Mohan, besides being a a wonderful and perceptive blogger, poet, is also an excellent photographer.

She posted this mouthwatering photograph on her photoblog,  Shots and Captures.

Sometimes the urge to grab a handful (of peanuts, that is ) results in a poem ....#just sayng :-)

(photograph by Shail Mohan)
Brides
in wedding vermillion,
spiced
with
fine tasteful jewellery,
crowded together
at the venue…

Fewer fertile fields,
the obsession with the male crop,
fewer girls,
and the
popping corns
crowd around
the swayamwara premises,
packed in sections,
so turmerically wedding-ready…..

The brides,
keep an open mind,
and enjoy all;
children’s pockets,
little fists,
with older folks ,flowing with beer ,
sitting in newspaper wraps
on trains and buses…
just everywhere.

The popped fellows,
constrained
behind the restrictive
plastic wraps,
sometimes buttered in flattery,
huddle together,
wondering
how
the sex ratio
got so skewed…….

Dark and light philosophy

My friend , Sylvia, has a wonderful photoblog, and this was a comment on some great photos of shadows , which were part of her Shadow Shot series....

The Sun
shooting
its warmth
meets someone
but is stopped
in surprise
in its path.

Quietly ,
head down,
it goes round
who
it has met.
To meet and
shake hands
with a shadow....

Even the sun must learn
that there is
dark and light
in life,
and the way they meet
is wonderful....

E = m (c ) squared

Life vibrates all around before asymptotically leading you to a balance. Making choices. In comment to this post by Braja....

Mismatches
thru the ages,
He shows you
All the sides...

Some white and empty
like a blank mind,
that resounds
only to buying "one more";

Some, like
a blackboard---
Make your mistakes,
learn,
wipe,
and start again;

Some, blue-green
as in a calm river
that flows
regardless
of the tumult
on its banks;

And sometimes
a burning red
glowing long after
destruction
is complete...

Sometimes time dilates,
Sometimes the mind dilates..

And as the raindrops
trickle
outside
your mind's window
You observe and learn
to live ,
making choices,
relatively
in balance.....,

Enlightenment = my (seeing) squared....
Einstein
would probably approve.
