Bozoical Class

Bozo , Mumbai's blogging dog, , is a very patient chap. he understands how the human mind works, and he bides his turn at things, in the big war between biology and technology.

Although he is threatened at every turn by a powerful two wheeler vying for Magic Eye's attention, he believes Old is gold, and that  technology  becomes obsolete,  but one must remember , like Sachin Tendulkar, that physical Form (wheels and all) may be temporary, but Bozoical Class, is simply, as they say,  permanent ....

Trains, planes,
swishing cars,
on motorways
and then a return
back to
Amchi Mumbai.

You would think
this preponderance of wheels
would affect you ?

The human mind,
does gradual changes.

And so
Magiceye went off
again,
on a jealous two wheeler
on a ride with his friends
several times.

I mean
I know
I am not as fast,
I don't growl continuously
as I move,
I don't blind people
with my shining eyes
I don't insist on mirrors,
and most of all,
you don't have to kick me
to get me started.

I love to meander
along
with you,
watching the world go by,
noticing
new blossoms,
new smells,
new friends
out on their walks,
a sudden summer breeze,
batata vada smells,
dug up roads,
new potholes,
cops,
and of course,
trees and lampposts....

Forget wheels .
Can we now go for that walk please ?

Bozo and the Competitor....

Bozo, Mumbai's only dog-with-his-own-blog , is certainly acting mature these days. Maybe it is age, maybe it is something he is learning from watching folks around him, but even when his mentor Magiceye is not around, and is away on a trip, Bozo acts like a responsible member in the family, keeping an eye on things, controlling urges to rummage around in cupboards for goodies, and jump on sofas and stuff.

There is of course a fine strain of fleeting jealousy between Bozo and the latest entrant in competition for Magiceye's attention, a two wheeler Desert Storm .

Read on .

You might think
that i have something in mind,
standing as I am,
next to the almirah,
watching folks get organized
for what I think
is again a trip,
with the
chocolate colored
two wheeler monster lady,
Desert Storm,
my current rival in the house.

Yes,
I know
where all the goodies are
in the house,
but I am not greedy.
and I only have to ask.

But currently
the boss and the young one
are away,
and
unlike the chocolate monster lady
who constantly purrs
and coughs, and roars
and sips petrol
through fancy pipes,
I prefer to wait
for the family to return.

I smell things better than her,
I hear things better than her,
I even see things better than her.

But we oldies sometimes
indulge  these
willful youngsters
and let them think
they are better than us ......

I mean Bozo of Bandra
sounds
so much nicer than Desert Storm...

(Is that a name ?)

A Bozoical Rider

Mumbai's own dog-with-his-own-blog, Bozo, cannot believe his eyes. He now actually has competition in his own house, in the form of a two wheeled, brown, growling machine, currently sitting in the garage.

He is just grateful, it cannot come inside the house. He is also thrilled to bits that it cannot play with the young ones when they come home on holiday, and also that it cannot eat all the good festival stuff that gets made in the house.

But Bozo, is a pragmatic chap, likes to move with the times, has put deep thought into this and has some ideas on how he can join his mentor and life chronicler Magiceye on the various rides.

As Magiceye's old faithful, he needs to keep an eye on this new entrant , the mechanical beast......

As a guy with four legs,
I've always envied
the bipeds
who have such excellent balance
but
who nevertheless,
drive on four wheels.

Sometimes,
there are wheels
within wheels
cranking in the biped cortex,
as I discovered
when folks rushed out one morning,
and I saw them return
wearing helmets
firing on all cylinders,
on a motorcycle,
the color of my eyes.

I guess
the days of
standing on a seat,
leaning out of windows
into the wind are over.

It's now time
to join the Biker Dogs Motorcycle Club,
with
helmets that leave the ears free,
and riding goggles
that hide
the jealousy in my eyes.

There are places
that sell motorcycle dog seats
and LED dog Collars.

So many folks wanting to ride,
and only one seat...

But I think I will wait and see,
who Deepak wants
to take with him
on those rides
into a Sanhyadri Sunset.....
