Senior moments

Insignia posted various photos of her trips around Northern California on her blog . One of the San Francisco skyline, possibly taken from the East bay area, twanged a string somewhere. ( I have old links with N. California. I have family and very good friends and old roommates there, I studied in the UC system 40 years ago, and the state governors (Reagan then) were cutting budgets for education even then. Healthcare has become a very expensive thing for ordinary folks, and my own aging (here in India), makes me more aware of how things can be now......)

the Bay area.
A bad health scare,
son's job scare
tangling
with Arnold***,
his budget cuts
for teachers.

Now,
out
for an organized
trip,

Now a bit bent,
in Body,
down to the essentials,
hardy

for their age,
George turns
towards
a lost

smiles
and says,
"remember
that dinner
at Ghirardelli Square ?"****.

  2. Poem made me think. Where am I headed. Hopefully I can just stay in the woods, sweeping my paths and walking Callie dog "in my old favorite clothes" :)
