Secret looks and monsoon messages

Late May and early June, in God's Own Country, Kerala, and my blogger friend Shail Mohan, has posted this wonderful photo from one of beaches, or at least close to one.

The Coconut tree is called Kalpavruksha, because every part of it is dedicated to being of use to us.

Sometimes coconut trees also have minds and wishes.

Honestly, this reminded me of eyelashes (without mascara). Who needs mascara when you have the monsoon winds ...

Tall and stately,
resplendent
at the beach,
she
straightens up,
shrugging off
all that teasing
by folks
playing the fool
on the beach
asking for coconuts.

Raises her face,
looking
through her
green eyelashes,
secretly
urging
the heavily laden clouds,
to give it all up,
and
come
down to earth,
in a torrent ....

  1. Eye lashes! What imagery. Loved that. :)
This is a view I captured from my terrace. The beach is a bit away. But your lines go beautifully with the picture. Kudos. :)
